Easy access; generally with plenty of parking. Nice place to walk the dog. Clean except where guys do not take time to lift the seat before urinating.

This place is very nice with pretty surroundings. There is a place to charge your electric vehicles here. Rest rooms were clean and abundant for most people to use. Picnic areas are all over the place which may be enjoyed by people while resting from the stress of driving long stretch of highways. Pets are also accommodated in their own section of the rest area.

A beautiful, clean, easily accessible rest area in a beautiful part of the Virginia countryside. No one would ever think of this place as a destination, of course, but the landscaping and buildings were designed by someone who clearly imagined what a rest area should look like if it were a destination. This is that place. Argueably, the greatest Interstate rest stop in the entire United States of America. Remarkable.

Picnic tables. Grills. Benches. Vending machines which are located a little ways from the restrooms and they are under a roof but open so you are outside with the heat. Big handicapped stall. Bathrooms smell decent and are clean, just outdated. Handicapped ramp outside. Water fountains. Two women's separate rest rooms. The one I went into had four stalls. The water pressure was not strong. The restrooms say they are zero effluent discharge facilities. There was a walking path and doggie bags for poop pickup. A lot of parking spots. There was brochures for attractions and maps for the surrounding areas for things to do. One was a coupon book.
