Nice place people are okay but I've been here twice in two weeks and still no internet and that's a big thing to most truck drivers

This Flying J is happy to take an Rvers $300 for fuel but threw us out of their nearly empty overnight lot. They will never see another dime from us or any other RVers we can tell. Husband was a truck driver for 40 years. Can't believe the way the young jerk they sent out talked down to us.

Parked the RV in the far corner of a HUGE lot, at 11am. Drove tow car into Rapid City. Gone 2 hours. Came back to a post it on my door that said I can not park unless I spoke to manager. I went Into gas station, the kid took my info, said I could stay overnight. Walked back to RV and a different kid said I had to leave. He never heard of " getting approval".
Don't waste your time here. I have my Flying J card, have spent countless dollars on their gas. Looks like Loves for me.

I usually stop here and it was a pleasant experience but not this time, I filled up this morning put on 100 gallons. Had to go make a delivery in the a.m. came back ask for a shower and they denied me because I did not have a Flying J card. Needless to say I will not fill up at that Flying J again. I went back east to Mitchell and they had a nice truck stop I put on 40 gallons and there were more than happy to give me a shower. From now on they will get my business! not the Flying J in Rapid City.

As a professional trucker I stop at a lot of different truck stops/ travel centers. Most are pretty similar. This Flying J is no exception. My only complaints are that the shower rooms have been remodeled within the last 10 years but they were done on the cheap. There's no shower caddy permanently mounted on the wall of the shower. Instead they have one if those cheap over the showerhead cheap chrome caddies and the shower wall behind it is covered in rust. Also there was hair all over the back wall of the shower.
My other complaint is that when I went to checkout at the convenience store I said to the teller "I'll have to run my bank card as a debit card so I can get some cash back". Then when I finished running my card I told the teller "What no cash back option"? She said "we don't do that here but you should have said something" to which I told her I did say something you just ignored me. Then she gave me a dirty look and turned away from me to talk to the other cashier who was on duty. Not my idea of good customer service! If I weren't stuck here doing my 34 hour reset I would have left and would never come back to this Flying J.
